I Hate This Crap

I know, I know. It's the oldest trick in the book- link to another article to avoid actually writing anything of value. But since BJ is officially on her way to Texas, I'm kind of unmotivated. So here it is:

Crap Article of the Week

In the article, the author, Anna Pasternak, discusses how engaging in masculine activities - such as paying bills and whatnot- makes women feel unfeminine, which makes them unattractive to men. First off, I hardly think that taking on normal responsibilities makes me any less of a woman, and I hope every other woman out there agrees.

Apparently, one of the men Pasternak dated complained that she was unfeminine because she "didn't flirt or wear much make-up." So, instead of addressing how completely sexist he was being, the author agreed.

Later in the article, Pasternak talks about the Botox injection she had, explaining that "far from looking taut or frozen, I looked like me, only less worn and haggard. I look fresher - and because I look softer, I feel softer." Because the only thing that matters is that a woman look "soft."

I think this article could have been much more enlightening than it actually was... I'm not quite sure how, though.

I Hate Ann Coulter

Disclaimer: I've never actually read any of Ann Coulter's books, but I can imagine the sheer torture.

OK, I wanted to tone this rant down a bit... then I realized that Ann Coulter was a hypocritical bitch who deserves to burn in the bottom most pits of hell for eternity.

That wasn't too harsh, was it?

Moving on. Let's examine a few of Ann Coulter's books: Slander: Liberal Lies About the American Right;Godless: The Church of Liberalism; How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must): The World According to Ann Coulter; and The New Ann Coulter (which, ironically, comes out in November. Yeah, whatever, so what if she likes to dis liberals? Hell, I even like to dis liberals sometimes. But seriously, there's something wrong with the fact that she's made an entire career out of putting down others. (specifically the Democratic Party).

I also like how she makes all liberals out to be these Godless, baby-killing, raping sex monsters. What right does she have to do that? What a person does in the privacy of their own home is no one else's business!!! Besides that, quite a few people involved in my high school's Young Democrats club are Christian (and therefore not "Godless"). She also makes fun of our morals. You know, the whole "be nice to people" crap. Apparently, believing in God is all that's important... it doesn't matter if you're a total douchebag.

On that subject, I do admire the fact that she's not hypocritical about her personality. She admits that she's a bitch (though I completely disagree with her idea that being nice is not a part of being Christian).

So, basically, Ann Coulter sucks ass. Although I'm probably biased, since I tend to automatically take offense to anything Republicans say. Here's a (common) conversation between a Republican and myself:

Republican: The sky is pretty today.

TS: NO IT'S NOT! ARE YOU FREAKIN' BLIND? The sky is DISGUSTING today!

Republican: But, there are no clouds or anything, and it's sunny...

TS: YOU KNOW NOTHING!

(Um, I was kidding about the whole "privacy of your own home" stuff, by the way. We liberals aren't that bad, I promise.)

Also, I actually like a lot of Republicans... I swear I'm not a hypocrite. I just like making fun of them.
